Reading Voyage: Treasure Your Library
The Adult Summer Reading program sails from June 1st through July 28th. The concept is simple: for every book you read, your name goes into a drawing. We draw for prizes each Friday, and at the end we put all the names back in for the big Grand Prize Drawing. What better way to motivate yourself to read through the summer?

Children's Summer Reading
Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales!
Join our summer reading program and paws to read! Pick up your reading log at the library, check out books to read at home, and write the titles in the log. Collect a prize for every five books you read! We're also planning a bunch of great children's programs for the summer, so keep your eyes on the Children's News.
Retro Summer
Retro Summer
We're going back in time to the 60s, 70s, and 80s! Teens in grades 7 - 12 can read to win in our Teen Summer Reading Program. For every book read, teens can enter weekly drawings for $10.00 gift certificates to local shops and restaurants. At the end of Summer, the Grand Prize Drawing winner can win a $50.00 gift Certificate to Barnes and Noble.
GPL will be one Groovy, Happenin' place as we go back in time with our Summer Reading Retro events: In June, Travel back to the days of Lava Lamps and Tie Dye T-shirts at our 60's and 70's Fads craft night. Brush up on your knowledge of the 80's and 90's for our Radical Trivia Tournament and Costume Contest in July. Dress up as your favorite 80s or 90s celebrity and you could win a prize! Each month we'll also have a game/chess night. Bring a friend and your favorite board game and chill out at the library! Most programs require registration prior to the event, so call the library for more information.
